Desert Vista Health needed a complex outpatient building with imaging suites and operating rooms on a site exposed to extreme summer heat, while its neighboring campus stayed fully open to patients.

Our approach
As construction manager at-risk, we joined the team during schematic design and priced every major system as it was drawn. Heavy concrete work ran on night shifts through the summer, and shielded imaging rooms were mocked up and inspected before full installation.
The outcome
The pavilion opened on the date promised to patients, with zero lost-time incidents across more than 310,000 labor hours. Value engineering returned $2.4M to the owner's contingency.
Building next to a campus that never closes takes real discipline. Stratum planned every shutdown and crane pick around our patients, and not a single clinic lost a day of care.
